Inside out

For this project i took an image of Cam Newton whose nickname is superman. So i put the superman symbol in the middle of his chest as if he was stripping off his jersey to reveal his superman outfit

Ad

For this project i took an image of Robert Griffin III a player who is sponsored by adidas and put him on an adidas background. I also took text from Da font.com and put in "RG3" which is his nickname.

Napp

For this project i used a tutorial from napp. I used the same tutorial for both of these because i liked it so much. The tutorial was meant for wide pictures of landscapes so i took two images of the Appalachian trail and edited them. I enjoyed really bringing the colors to more of a highlighted form and playing with the shadows.

Kaleidoscope #2

In this Kaleidoscope which was my first one i used  a picture of a beach and copied the layers to make an interesting image. I struggled to get the layers to all merge correctly in this one, but in the second i figured it out.

Photo funia/ Photo 505

I made this image using photo funia to take an image of some friends and I at a football game and put it on a truck like a poster. I liked using this website,  because there were more things you could do with your image in terms of putting it on things

I made this image using Photo 505. I like photo 505, because it was interesting and different from the others with where you could put your image. In this case i used the UVA logo and put it over fans at a soccer game.

Kaleidoscope

In this Kaleidoscope image i took part of a picture of the sun setting over mountains and made many reflections and rotations on the same image to make this. The key to this was to make sure that all the angles were correctly measured or else the picture would look edgy.

Pic Monkey/ Pixlr

For this image i used pic monkey. It had the best variety for changing the background and inserting small animations. I like how much you could play with the color and sharpness of the image.

For this image i used Pixlr. I like how much you could do with the image in terms of borders and special effects.

Self Portrait

In this self portrait i took one image of myself and copied it into nine smaller ones and modified each image differently. Playing with the tone and color was very interesting in this project.

Marla

This picture was inspired by Marla, a young girl who could paint abstract paintings. I was trying to have a lot of color and free flowing lines in this.

Artists

Susan Barnes
I liked this piece of work by Barnes, because of how she has a very nice set of smooth water, but still  edges it out by putting in box shapes.

Roger Kizik
Roger Kizik's work all is somewhat like this, with very wavy lines and vibrant colors. I liked this one because there is so much going on, but still when you  look at it as just one painting you can tell  what it is and appreciate it.

In this image i used 15 different green images and cropped, adjusted color, and layered them all to make one bigger image. Making the layers look natural and not choppy was the biggest challenge in this project.

Music

This assignment is playing with the different colors and backgrounds of the musician and the notes. I tried to make the image pop off the page yet stay true to the tie die background.

Visual puns

With these visual puns i took different parts of different images to make one visual pun for each image. I used the overlay, gradient map, threshold, and posterize tools to give the image a different look. I had to focus a lot on the layers with this project so that the image would not look awkward.

Wordle

On this image i used wordle and took a quote from former florida quarterback Tim Tebow. I then put a picture of him infront of the quote and added color and size variation. I added green, blue, and orange because that is the university of Floridas team colors.

Mix-match

In this image I took various body parts from many animals  to make one new creature. I wanted to make one standing upright on two legs, so that made it interesting selecting what images to use. Layering is key in this image to make it look as realistic as possible. I changed the layers many times to adjust how the image looked.
